Apologies to those who follow this site for the lack of postings these last few weeks. I’ve been preparing for an event called The Great Ride of China, a tour of China with my boyfriend Buck on the back of a motorbike. We will be visiting every province on the mainland, riding a total of around 30,000 km and spending 4-5 months doing so. We are proud to be in partnership with Free Lunch for Children, a Chinese charity that provides free, nutritious meals to school children in underprivileged areas at over 200 schools.
With this tour we will be taking the opportunity to experience all aspects of China; from its diverse cultures and fascinating history to its unprecedented economic growth. We aim to visit several known well-known (and some lesser-known) cultural and historical architecture sites along the way, as well as several successful examples of building restoration projects.
As I will be on the road most of the time there will be some changes to the format and subject of my posts as I will mostly be writing about the current sites we visit, posting when I can.
